Testimonials

Nice and simple. I'm a single mother so it's very valuable to me to be able to do my continuing education in my home at my pace and on my own time; I don't have to sacrifice time with my daughter, in fact she enjoys looking at the material too. They are also affordable. I live in a rural area so getting to classes and seminars can be cost and time prohibitive. Thank you for your wonderful service.

California Massage Therapy

Continuing Education Requirements

Massage therapy license requirements vary from state to state, and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that certifications were being issued beginning in September of 2009. There are two levels of certification - Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) and Certified Massage Practitioner (CMP) - depending on the amount of education completed. Certifications are renewed every two years, however, requirements for renewal have not yet been determined.

If you would like to verify this information or have questions California Massage Certification, we suggest contacting the California Massage Therapy Council by phone at 916-669-5336 or you can visit their website at www.camtc.org.

Remember, the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00). All of our continuing education programs can be used for your National Certification renewal.

You may also use our credits for other organizations you belong to such as the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) or Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
