Massage therapy license requirements vary from state to state, and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that, in Michigan, there are no massage therapy continuing education requirements for massage therapists because the state is currently without professional regulation.
However, several cities, townships, or county health boards do regulate this type of business. We recommend that you contact the Town/City Hall or county health department for the area in which you wish to practice and inquire directly with them about their massage therapy licensure requirements, if any.
Remember, the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00). All of our continuing education programs can be used for your National Certification renewal.
