Massage therapy license requirements vary from state to state, and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that, in Montana, beginning July 1, 2010 massage therapists must be licensed. It is proposed that Montana massage therapy licenses will need to be renewed every 2 years and that 12 continuing education hours are required, however, specifics regarding what is acceptable have not yet been determined.
If you would like to verify this information, or have further questions regarding your massage therapy continuing education requirements, we suggest contacting the Montana Board of Massage directly. You can visit their website at http://mt.gov.
Remember, the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00). All of our continuing education programs can be used for your National Certification renewal.
