Tennessee Massage Therapy

Continuing Education Requirements

Massage therapy license requirements vary from state to state, and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that, in Tennessee, 25 massage therapy continuing education credits are required every 2 years for professional license renewal. Of the 25 total hours, 2 hours must be in Tennessee statues and rules, and 2 hours would need to be in practice management, ethics or substance abuse.

It is also our understanding that the Tennessee Board of Massage will accept our programs to fulfill these 25 hours of continuing education because the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00). The only exception would be programs on animal massage, which the Board will not accept.
